I love this post cause it is sweet and simple. I love the fact that you captured something that I truly enjoy and that is the peace and quiet of being able to see what is happening before the rest of the world in the first few hours of the morning.
I've done many jobs that meant I was awake for this time of day. It's an amazing hour. Yet, when you don't have to be up, who does? Laziness makes us miss so much.
Lately I've been pretty lame about responding to comments, so I'm going to try to do better.
Paisley, Cricket, Aubrey, NCS, Tumblewords, Marcia--thanks for your kind words!
Jadey, glad you could relate.
Anthony, yes, I think I get lazy and forget how much I like the morning when I make the effort to get up early.
Clare, nice to see you again! I can't claim credit for the photo, but it is is a local scene, taken not far from where I live.
Dory, thanks so much for your ongoing support of my creative process. I loved our chat yesterday, and I appreciate your encouragement more than I can say. (((Hugs, sis!)))
I love this haiku. It captures what it's really like to have those delicious moments to yourself when no one else can disturb you . . . mine are in the afternoon, and I love them.

Exactly - a little magic in that time! Very nice!
I remember those moments, and even without children around they still feel stolen and magical.
Gorgeous photo and magical words -- that really is a special time of day!

It's been a long time since I simply savored the dawn of a new day. Thanks for reminding me to stop and take in this important ritual.

I like those magical moments of a new dawn. You captured it well here.
The simple surprise that the magic is there for us to seize, anytime of day. Especially the sunrise, yes, especially the morning.
I wish you well.

Rambler, UL—thank you.
Littlewing, Gautami, Jeques—I didn’t used to be a morning person, but now it’s my favorite time of day.
L the D—I love spending time with other people, but solitude is, like you said, delicious!
Rob—thanks for the heads-up.
