NaPoWriMo #17: triolet

More experimentation, this time with form. I tried to do a triolet, a complicated form with French origins, and am not terribly satisfied with it. After a two-day wrestle, though, I'm ready to wrap up and move on to something else.

Love and Clover

Bees, humming bobbins of gold thread
embroider rolling clover fields
they lace through fragrant flower heads
bees, humming bobbins of gold thread
their murmured music leaves unsaid
the way a heart first breaks, then yields
bees, humming bobbins of gold thread
embroider rolling clover fields.
