Jimmy was such a good sport about going to the doctor's office with me and waiting while I got my blood drawn that afterward we went to the Dollar Tree and he got to pick out some fun stuff. One of his choices was a Spider Man inflatable ring, so when we got home I scrubbed down the pool, filled it up, slathered him with sunscreen (amid some rather nasty whining—"Don't put any on my
face, Mom!"), and let him go.
Jimmy's always a bit cautious before getting in the pool for the first time.
